12°C > 14°C: Mainly cloudy: a clear sliver to the E at first: some very light drizzle at times: a few blue patches later. Light W wind. Very good visibility

Sunrise: 07:13 BST

Another very quiet morning

Priorslee Lake: 06:10 – 08:55

(122nd visit of the year)

Bird notes:
- Jackdaws mainly back in a single large party this morning
- Rooks were singles / pairs only and rather scarce
- the number of Pied Wagtails was hard to judge. After 6 flew high S early there were at least 2 flying about low-down in all directions more or less throughout. Same local birds?
- one of the Chiffchaffs was determined I would not overlook it this morning and sang at me

The Flash: 09:00 – 09:45

(99th visit of the year)

Notes from here
- when I arrived there seemed to be only the 3 cygnets present. Later an adult was seen to fly in from the W. A few minutes later it was back to normal with 2 adults and 3 cygnets together. I did not read the letters on the rings on the adults. However one was yellow and one was green, both unusual colours in our area, so it is almost certain these were the residents and the parents of the cygnets
and
- more clusters of fungus in several new locations
- 1 Grey Squirrel

Birds noted flying over or near to The Flash
- 1 Sparrowhawk
- 7 Feral Pigeons
- 1 Jackdaw
- 1 Skylark

Warblers noted
None

The counts from the water
- 2 + 3 Mute Swans
- 12 Canada Geese arrived
- 34 (18♂) + 2 (1 brood) Mallard
- 5 (1♂) Tufted Ducks
- 3 Grey Herons
- 1 + 1 (1 brood) Great Crested Grebe again
- 3 Moorhens
- 9 Coots
- 21 Black-headed Gulls

Of interest between the lake and The Flash
- 2 Chiffchaffs around the lower pool
