Priorslee Lake and The Flash: then Trench Lock Pool and Trench Middle Pool

Priorslee Lake: 06:20 – 09:25
The Flash: 09:30 – 10:00
Trench Lock Pool: 10:10 – 10:40 // 11:15 – 11:20
Trench Middle Pool: 10:45 – 11:10

8°C > 11°C: A few early breaks soon filled in and then dull. Fresh SSE wind. Moderate / good visibility

Sunrise: 07:21 GMT

Priorslee Lake: 06:20 – 09:25

(147th visit of the year)

Bird notes:
- a Mute Swan flew off E at 06:55 when it was too dark to age it. I assumed its was yesterday’s cygnet. However there was an unringed adult present by 07:30. So ...?
- Black-headed Gulls behaved rather differently today. Only c.30 had arrived by 07:00 when most left. Then >270 arrived from the W over the next 30 minutes, most leaving soon afterwards. No more than 85 on the lake later
- almost all the Fieldfares and Redwings were flying S / ESE today
- party of c.50 Starlings flew low S and could just possibly have come from the reeds in the NE area, but I think not
