Priorslee Lake: 11:20am - 11:45am
Map

8.0°C > 9.5°C:  Low overcast. Light wind. Moderate visibility

A short stop on my way back from Australia just as an influx of large gulls arrived to wash and loaf about. Only the birds on the water counted.

(133rd visit of the year)

Notes
Little Grebe still around
3 Great Crested Grebes together: the other keeping well away
1 drake Shoveler
Now 3 pairs of Gadwall
9 drake Pochard (but rather fewer Tufted Ducks)
Gull counts expressed as ‘count when I arrived’>’count when I left’ 25 minutes later. Surprisingly high proportion of Herring Gulls in the arrivals.
