Stayed indoors and dry this morning only venturing to The Flash later.

Bird notes:

- The Tufted Duck were mostly asleep and with a higher light-level than during my usual visits I was able to confirm a greater number of drakes.

Birds noted flying over / near The Flash

- 2 Common Buzzards
- 2 Wood Pigeons
- 3 Jackdaws

Warblers logged

None

Counts from the water:

- 3 + 7 (1 brood) Mute Swans
- 3 Greylag Geese
- 11 Canada Geese
- 38 (23♂) Mallard
- 79 (>27♂) Tufted Duck
- 1 Great Crested Grebe only
- 10 Moorhens yet again
- 43 Coots
- 6 Black-headed Gulls

On various lamp poles:

- 1 Hawthorn Shieldbug (Acanthosoma haemorrhoidale)
- 1 Dicranopalpus ramosus-type harvestman
- 1 Leiobunum rotundum-type (harvestman)

Otherwise:

- Common Wasp (Vespula vulgaris): the sole but abundant insect on the Ivy.
- 1 Grey Squirrel
- 1 Brown Rat

A small and rather hidden sign has been present for some days warning of the presence of Rodenticide. The rat was still as active as ever.
